Basic Proofreading                                                                                                  

  • $100

This is the service you should choose if your work has already been edited, but needs an extra set of eyes to ensure its consistency – includes proofing for spelling mistakes, typos, punctuation, capitalization, spacing, and simple grammatical errors. We charge a flat rate, no additional fees will apply.


Manuscript Formatting

  • $  50.00 up to 225 pages
  • $  75.00 between 226 and 325 pages
  • $100.00 over 325 pages

Book formatting is the process of taking what you have written and putting it in a format a printer can use to produce your book. Formatting includes things like picking the size of the book (5 ½ X 8 ½, 6 X 9, etc.), selecting the font and the size of the text, choosing how headings for chapters or sections will appear, and picking the size of the margins. Other options include putting your name on the top or side of each page, placing the book's title on each page, page numbering and the placement of page numbers, scrolls or other designs, and/or the spacing between sections or chapters.

Line-By-Line Copy Editing

  • $200

This service includes everything offered in Basic Proofreading, plus checking for and correcting general sentence structure mistakes, clarity, sense, word choices or redundancies, proper manuscript formatting, and inconsistency to the narrative. Our advantage is that we do not charge per word. A $200 flat rate fee, requiring half paid upfront and the balance due when complete.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Manuscript Typing                                                                                                    

  • $250 

We can take your typewritten or handwritten piece and turn it into a properly formatted, electronic version. All manuscripts are typed double-spaced with 1" margins using a 12 point Arial or Times New Roman font to meet submission guidelines.

You must provide legible handwritten copies of your manuscript. If it is too difficult to read, it will be rejected.

Convert Word Document to PDF

  • Free

I will convert your manuscript to a PDF document. It must already be properly formatted. I will ONLY convert it.

***The preferred method of payment is through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to send payments. However, it is free to set up an account. 

 

 ***The turnaround time for most projects is three to four weeks. Manuscript typing may take additional time. If additional time is needed, we’ll let you know. We are also willing to work with you on payments for all services. However, the prices that are set are not negotiable.
